Bring The Tithes Into The Storehouse—Giving
When the children of Israel came out of Egypt, the world of being slaves, they plundered the Egyptians of much gold, silver, and many other things. So also we, when we come out of the world, bring many things with us.
God used the wealth of Egypt, through the generous giving of His people, to build the tabernacle and all that was within it, a shadow for us of the temple of God. So also, God will do again today, taking the wealth God plundered from the world, and build up the tabernacle, the body of Christ. The early church saw it and lived it out, giving as anyone had need. The true body of Christ will do this again as we come into the fullness of Christ.
Sheep are very vulnerable animals, being very innocent. Not only are they good for food, but they can also be sheered for their wool, and many are being sheered today, to fulfil the dreams of the shepherds. The scripture is being used to manipulate them, and get what they brought out of Egypt from them. The scripture clearly teaches that the workman, the one teaching spiritual things, is worthy of being supported by the ones receiving from them. This term support is the problem. If the shepherd becomes rich off the sheep, God will severely judge that shepherd for peddling the gospel, if they even teach it.
The storehouse at this time, is the temple of God, the body of Christ. The Holiest of All, the Sanctuary, is in the heavens, and the Holy Place is the body of Christ, on this earth. Bringing the tithes, peace offerings, and gifts, to God, is bringing them into His true body, Christ on this earth. Your brother, is the temple of God, and as you share your possessions with a brother in need, you have obeyed the command of tithing. Remember, in the law of Moses, the corners of your field and the gleanings, belonged to the poor. This was a mere shadow, a picture of us sharing, what God has blessed us with.
In the wilderness, when God asked the people to bring offerings from their wealth they brought out of Egypt, the people brought so much, Moses had to stop them. So it will be today, in His body. Once God’s people realize how they are being sheared of their wool for gain, they will again start giving to the true storehouse, God’s brethren in need. God is going to expose the shepherds and these corrupt ways to His people.
“Woe, shepherds of Israel who have been feeding themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flock? 3“You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool, you slaughter the fat sheep without feeding the flock. 4“Those who are sickly you have not strengthened, the diseased you have not healed, the broken you have not bound up, the scattered you have not brought back, nor have you sought for the lost; but with force and with severity you have dominated them. 5“They were scattered for lack of a shepherd, and they became food for every beast of the field and were scattered. 6“My flock wandered through all the mountains and on every high hill; My flock was scattered over all the surface of the earth, and there was no one to search or seek for them.”’”
7Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the LORD: 8“As I live,” declares the Lord GOD, “surely because My flock has become a prey (to the powers of darkness and the world), My flock has even become food for all the beasts of the field for lack of a shepherd, and My shepherds did not search for My flock, but rather the shepherds fed themselves and did not feed My flock; 9therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the LORD: 10‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will demand My sheep from them and make them cease from feeding sheep. So the shepherds will not feed themselves anymore, but I will deliver My flock from their mouth, so that they will not be food for them.”’”
11For thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out. 12“As a shepherd cares for his herd in the day when he is among his scattered sheep, so I will care for My sheep and will deliver them from all the places to which they were scattered on a cloudy and gloomy day. 13“I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries and bring them to their own land (the land of promise); and I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the streams, and in all the inhabited places of the land. 14“I will feed them in a good pasture, and their grazing ground will be on the mountain heights of Israel. There they will lie down on good grazing ground and feed in rich pasture on the mountains of Israel. 15“I will feed My flock and I will lead them to rest,” declares the Lord GOD. 16“I will seek the lost, bring back the scattered, bind up the broken and strengthen the sick; but the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed them with judgment. Ez 34:1-16
