Jesus spoke often about knowing Him, as He knew the Father. To know Him means to be one with Him, to have fellowship with Him and abide in Him. When we keep His word, by obeying His commandments, we are merging our hearts with His, and we truly know Him. If we glorify ourselves, our glory is nothing. If we manifest His glory, His image and likeness, we have the witness of Christ in us, Him and the Father making Their abode in us, His coming again. This is the new creation and the promise of the land flowing with milk and honey, the true temple of God coming down from heaven, on this earth.
Jesus answered, “If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing; it is My Father who glorifies Me (manifests in me), of whom you say, ‘He is our God’;55and you have not come to know Him, but I know Him (one in Spirit); and if I say that I do not know Him, I will be a liar (not confess Jesus Christ has come in the flesh) like you, but I do know Him (one in Spirit) and keep His word (obey the royal law of love). Jn 8:54,55
Then Jesus cried out in the temple, teaching and saying, “You both know Me and know where I am from; and I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know. 29“I know Him, because I am from Him, and He sent Me.” Jn 7:28,29
By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him; 5but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him: 6the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked. 1Jn 2:3-6
“I am the good shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me, 15even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. Jn 10:14,15
“O righteous Father, although the world has not known You, yet I have known You (become one with You); and these have known that You sent Me;26and I have made Your name known to them (the nature of Your image and likeness), and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them (the love of Christ dwelling in them), and I in them.” Jn 17:25,26
“All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. Matt 11:27
Disaster on disaster is proclaimed, For the whole land is devastated; Suddenly my tents are devastated, My curtains in an instant. 21How long must I see the standard And hear the sound of the trumpet?
22“For My people are foolish, They know Me not; They are stupid children And have no understanding. They are shrewd to do evil, But to do good (manifest the gospel, the royal law) they do not know.” Jer 4:20-22
“They bend their tongue (the tongue is a fire, full of deadly poison) like their bow; Lies and not truth prevail (and not justice and righteousness) in the land; For they proceed from evil to evil, And they do not know Me,” declares the LORD. Jer 9:3
I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hidden from Me; For now, O Ephraim, you have played the harlot, Israel has defiled itself. 4Their deeds will not allow them To return to their God. For a spirit of harlotry is within them, And they do not know the LORD. Hos 5:3,4
“All things have been handed over to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.” Lk 10:22
