The New Covenant—The True First Covenant Made With Abraham

Abraham- The Promise Of The Land

For the promise to Abraham or to his descendants that he would be heir of the world was not through the Law, but through the righteousness of faith14For if those who are of the Law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise is nullified;15for the Law brings about wrath, but where there is no law, there also is no violation. Rom 4:13,15

16Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as referring to many, but rather to one, “And to your seed,” that is, Christ. 17What I am saying is this: the Law, which came four hundred and thirty years later, does not invalidate a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to nullify the promise. 18For if the inheritance is based on law, it is no longer based on a promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by means of a promise.

“THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THEM AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD : I WILL PUT MY LAWS UPON THEIR HEART, AND ON THEIR MIND I WILL WRITE THEM,” Heb 10:16

Our father Abraham was a shadow of those willing to follow God by faith, that would come later. It takes faith in God, to start the journey with God, into Him. We must leave the country (where we dwell, the world), where we’re very comfortable and well provided for. We must go and follow God into a land we know not of, and believe we will have the heir promised, Christ formed in us. This is those of us, “called of God”. “Many are called but few are chosen.

But faith is dead faith, until it is united with works of obedience (follow the way, the cross). Once Abraham stepped out and believed God, he was given a revelation of the gospel. Abraham believed the gospel God showed him, and it was reckoned as righteousness to him. He was not yet righteous (saved), because his faith had not been perfected, however God’s works were finished before the foundation of the world. Therefore, God spoke of him as righteous, although it was not completed yet. God always speaks of us in faith, as if it is completed, because His works are completed before the foundation of the world, waiting to be fulfilled, in us.

God brought us out, like Abraham, to bring us in to a land we know not of, except it is a good land. We can’t see it when we begin the journey, but once we’re born of the water, the washing of the water of the word, we can see the land promised in Christ. This is shadowed by repentance from dead works and the baptism of water.

The new creation in us, is the land of promise, the land flowing with milk and honey, the fullness of Jesus Christ. At the beginning, we have no vision of it, so we walk by faith. We go out by faith not knowing where we are going, only following God. Once we take that step, into the land we are led into, he makes us the promise, the good land (His “life” in us).We do not know what we will look like once Christ is formed in us, for star differs from star in glory (once glorified).

But we must be born of the water, and the Spirit, to be born again and enter the kingdom of God. Being born of the Spirit is the fires of testing and trials, the great tribulation we must go through, to be saved as through fire. It is also referred to as “the baptism of fire”. These are the Canaanite Nations of the land, shadows of what is dwelling in our land (the old nature), we must overcome.

These strongholds within us, must be overcome to possess the land promised in the Spirit,  19the Kenite and the Kenizzite and the Kadmonite 20and the Hittite and the Perizzite and the Rephaim 21and the Amorite and the Canaanite and the Girgashite and the Jebusite.”

“When He had destroyed seven (the first seven) nations in the land of Canaan, He distributed their land as an inheritance—. Gen 15:19-21

Now Abraham was promised the land, by God, from the river of Egypt (the world we come out of), all the way to the Euphrates (the sweet water), and so we are also. Abraham took all their possessions they had accumulated with them when they left, and so do we. In time, the possessions became a problem for him, because the land promised, could not sustain him with so many possessions brought with him. We have the same problem as we journey into the good land.

So, Abraham humbled himself and allowed Lot the best of the land, taking what was left, loving his neighbor as himself. This was Abraham walking in the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the Spirit transforming him into the image.

“But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the LORD, “I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Jer 31:33

13All these died in faith, without receiving the promises, but having seen them and having welcomed them from a distance, and having confessed that they were strangers and exiles on the earth (not of the old nature)14For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a country (where righteousness dwells, in them) of their own15And indeed if they had been thinking of that country from which they went out (the old nature), they would have had opportunity to return. 16But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one (the image and likeness of Christ). Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; for He has prepared a city for them. Heb 11:13-16

The Tribes (strongholds) that must be overcome to take possession of the Land. These enemies represent seven different traits of our carnal character, kings ruling within us, to be overcome. Victory over these kings, a total of ten, was not given all at once, but little by little, for our sakes. God gives us the victory, but he makes us do war to receive the victory.

  • Amorites— “The high ones” Arrogant, boastful, challenging, full of pride, their main characteristic.
  • Canaanites—Accumulators of material wealth, merchants and bankers, motivated by greed and lust. Intimidators of others, to vanquish, subdue and humiliate others. Motivated by the arts and sciences, valuing it.
  • Girgashites—A dweller inn clay, unstable, completely immoral and corrupt, going back and forth and enticing and drawing others away. A decadent and vile people.
  • Jebusites— “The threshing floor.” Very warlike and immoral, practiced immoral activities and drew others into it. They held the city and it would later be named Jeruslame, which was later taken over by foreigners, only needing to recaptured again by David.
  • Hivites—Life (immortality), or the source of life, but not the life of God. They were not warlike in appearance, warm hearted people, but very deceitful, false in character, and impulsive. Using deception to achieve their goals.
  • Hittites— Very powerful and covetous. Characteristics of fear and terror, aggression, bringing fear and confusion to others.
  • Perizzites—Characteristics of hate, to separate from others, unwilling to submit to one another, without discipline, to drag away others, violently.
  • Kenites
  • Kenizzites
  • Kadmonites

and when the Lord your God shall deliver them before you, and you shall defeat them, then you shall utterly destroy them. You shall make no covenant with them and show no favor to them. Duet 7:2

His Works Finished Before The Foundation Of The World

When God speaks, He speaks as if the thing of which He is speaking of, has already been accomplished. This is because it has in God’s realm….  although His works were finished from the foundation of the world.

Therefore, let us fear if, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you may seem to have come short of it. 2For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also; but the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith in those who heard. 3For we who have believed enter that rest, just as He has said, “AS I SWORE IN MY WRATH, THEY SHALL NOT ENTER MY REST,” although His works were finished from the foundation of the world. Heb 4:3

O LORD, You have searched me and known me. 2You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You understand my thought from afar. 3You scrutinize my path and my lying down, And are intimately acquainted with all my ways. 4Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, O LORD, You know it all (from the foundation of the world). Ps 139:1-4

just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love. Eph 1:4

seeing that His divine power has granted (it has already been done) to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. 2Pet 1:3

This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet: “I WILL OPEN MY MOUTH IN PARABLES; I WILL UTTER THINGS HIDDEN SINCE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD.” Matt 13:35

A Royal Priesthood Offering Living Sacrifices

The Priests of Israel ministered unto the Lord, by ministering to the people. Like any Priest of Israel, they offered offerings and sacrifices for themselves and for the people. The blood of the bull was sprinkled seven times before the veil, symbolizing the cost in blood to enter the holiest of all. So also Christ suffered on the cross for almost seven hours, dripping blood on the true veil, his flesh, the only way to enter the true tabernacle. We also must be refined as silver, tried seven times by fire to pass beyond the veil, His flesh.

and the priest is to offer them up in smoke on the altar of burnt offering. 11‘But the hide of the bull and all its flesh with its head and its legs and its entrails and its refuse, 12that is, all the rest of the bull, he is to bring out to a clean place outside the camp where the ashes are poured out, and burn it on wood (the cross of Christ) with fire; where the ashes are poured out it shall be burned. Lev 4:10-12

For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned outside the camp12Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people through His own blood, suffered outside the gate13So, let us go out to Him outside the camp, bearing His reproach. Heb 13:11-13

“Aaron shall enter the holy place with this: with a bull for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering. 4“He shall put on the holy linen tunic, and the linen undergarments shall be next to his body, and he shall be girded with the linen sash and attired with the linen turban (these are holy garments). Then he shall bathe his body in water and put them on. “Moreover, he shall take some of the blood of the bull and sprinkle it with his finger on the mercy seat on the east side; also in front of the mercy seat he shall sprinkle some of the blood with his finger seven times. Lev 16:3,4,14

We Are Sanctified By His Word Through Living Sacrifices, For Us And For Them

But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth. 14It was for this He called you through our gospel, that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by letter from us. 2Thes 2:13-15

Yet they seek Me day by day and delight to know My ways, As a nation that has done righteousness And has not forsaken the ordinance of their God. They ask Me for just decisions, They delight in the nearness of God.

3‘Why have we fasted and You do not see? Why have we humbled ourselves and You do not notice?’ Behold, on the day of your fast you find your desire, And drive hard all your workers. 4“Behold, you fast for contention and strife and to strike with a wicked fist. You do not fast like you do today to make your voice heard on high.

5“Is it a fast like this which I choose, a day for a man to humble himself? Is it for bowing one’s head like a reed And for spreading out sackcloth and ashes as a bed? Will you call this a fast, even an acceptable day to the LORD?  6“Is this not the fast which I choose, To loosen the bonds of wickedness, To undo the bands of the yoke, And to let the oppressed go free And break every yoke?

7“Is it not to divide your bread with the hungry And bring the homeless poor into the house; When you see the naked, to cover him; And not to hide yourself from your own flesh? 8Then your light will break out like the dawn, And your recovery will speedily spring forth; And your righteousness will go before you; The glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.

9“Then you will call, and the LORD will answer; You will cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’ If you remove the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger and speaking  wickedness, 10And if you give yourself to the hungry And satisfy the desire of the afflicted, Then your light will rise in darkness And your gloom will become like midday.

11“And the LORD will continually guide you, And satisfy your desire in scorched places,
And give strength to your bones; And you will be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.
12“Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins; You will raise up the age-old foundations; And you will be called the repairer of the breach,  The restorer of the streets in which to dwell. Is 58:2-12

For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to perfect the author of their salvation through sufferings11For both He who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one Father; for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren, Heb 2:10,11

I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, resulting in further lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness, resulting in sanctification. Rom 6:19

But now having been freed from sin and enslaved to God, you derive your benefit, resulting in sanctification, and the outcome, eternal life. Rom 6:22

For you know what commandments we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus. 3For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you abstain from sexual immorality; 4that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, 5not in lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God; 6and that no man transgress and defraud his brother in the matter because the Lord is the avenger in all these things, just as we also told you before and solemnly warned you. 7For God has not called us for the purpose of impurity, but in sanctification8So, he who rejects this is not rejecting man but the God who gives His Holy Spirit to you.

Two Births—Born According To The Spirit, Born According To The Flesh

In the Spirit the Bible speaks of two kinds of descendants of Abraham. One born according to the flesh, one born according to the Spirit. For Abraham had two sons, one by the bond woman and one by the free woman. Ishmael was a son also, from the loins of Abraham, a fleshly attempt to achieve the promise, when it looked like God was delaying or wasn’t keeping His word.

In Gal 4, we are told the children of the flesh, descendants of Hagar, represented the present day Jerusalem, people not born according to the promise, but of the flesh. And so it is today, those born according to the Spirit, or the promise, are those bearing the witness of the Spirit in them, the new creation life, being manifested. And those born according to the flesh, those not patient or willing for the Lord to come in them,  choosing to produce their own life within them, and choose to walk in the flesh. In their minds and hearts, they will always believe they are true sons, but not having the witness of the Spirit.

The New Birth Of The Spirit–The Witness Or Testimony (In Us)

The Baptism Of John

And he came into all the district around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins; 4as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, “THE VOICE OF ONE CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS, ‘MAKE READY THE WAY OF THE LORD, MAKE HIS PATHS STRAIGHT. 5‘EVERY RAVINE WILL BE FILLED, AND EVERY MOUNTAIN AND HILL WILL BE BROUGHT LOW; THE CROOKED WILL BECOME STRAIGHT, AND THE ROUGH ROADS SMOOTH; 6AND ALL FLESH WILL SEE THE SALVATION OF GOD.’”

7So he began saying to the crowds who were going out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?8“Therefore bear fruits in keeping with repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham for our father,’ for I say to you that from these stones God is able to raise up children to Abraham. 9“Indeed the axe is already laid at the root of the trees; so every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

10And the crowds were questioning him, saying, “Then what shall we do?” 11And he would answer and say to them, “The man who has two tunics is to share with him who has none; and he who has food is to do likewise.”12And some tax collectors also came to be baptized, and they said to him, “Teacher, what shall we do?” 13And he said to them, “Collect no more than what you have been ordered to.” 14Some soldiers were questioning him, saying, “And what about us, what shall we do?” And he said to them, “Do not take money from anyone by force, or accuse anyone falsely, and be content with your wages.” Luke 3:3-14

Many Dwelling Places

“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.2“In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you3“If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again (the coming of the Lord) and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also4“And you know the way where I am going.”5Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?” 6Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

The Way

The Way is defined, from my perspective, as “the walk” from the place of being called, unto the fullness of God in the Spirit. The Way is more like, “the walk” unto Christ. From the called, to the chosen, to the end of our faith, being found faithful. The outer court, the inner court, the Holiest of all where God dwells. Most believers consider the beginning of the walk as being the entire calling of God. But this is not according to knowledge. The scripture has little to say about the beginning of the walk, but devotes most of the teachings about the way, standing firm and not falling away. The one that endures to the end will be saved.

“In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you3“If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. 4“And you know the way where I am going.” 5Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?” 6Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. Jn 14:2-6

Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts; 24And see if there be any hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way. Ps 139:23,24

Thus says the LORD, “Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, Where the good way is, and walk in it; And you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ Jer 6:16

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. 29For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; 30and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified. Rom 8: 28-30

I will give heed to the blameless way (the narrow way to life). When will You come to me (in Your likeness and image)? I will walk (in the true gospel) within my house (the temple of the Lord) in the integrity of my heart (a clear conscious). Ps 10:2

The Witness, The Testimony

Witness of the Water

Witness of the Blood

Witness of the Spirit

Also called baptisms

The Baptisms, Of The Water, Of The Blood, Of The Spirit

  1. Bodies washed by pure water.
  2. Hearts sprinkled clean with blood.
  3. The Spirit bearing witness in us.
  4. We must have all three and they must agree to have the witness.
  5. Test The Spirits and see if you have the witness. He that has the witness, has the life.

2according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace be yours in the fullest measure.1 Pet 1:2

This is the One who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 1 John 5:6

10The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony (witness of the Spirit) in himself; the one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning His Son. 11And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12He who has the Son (witness of the Spirit) has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. 1Jn 5:10-12

The Baptism Of God

For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. 1Cor 12:13

11Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.1Cor 6:11

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless. Ephesians 5:25-27  (Adam should have sanctified Eve by covering her sin with love.)

There are several Baptism’s in the scriptures

  1. Baptism of the water, washings.
  2. Baptism of the cloud which turned to fire at night.
  3. Baptism of the fire, testing, refining and purging.
  4. Baptism of the Spirit, to form the Spirit (his image and likeness) in us.

18“You shall also make a laver of bronze, with its base of bronze, for washing; and you shall put it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and you shall put water in it. 19“Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet from it; 20when they enter the tent of meeting, they shall wash with water, so that they will not die; or when they approach the altar to minister, by offering up in smoke a fire sacrifice to the LORD21“So they shall wash their hands and their feet, so that they will not die; and it shall be a perpetual statute for them, for Aaron and his descendants throughout their generations.” Ex 30:18-21

Being Found Blameless

Do all things without grumbling or disputing; 15so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world,16holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not run in vain nor toil in vain. Phil 2:14-16

just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love. Eph 1:4

The Dead

There are several kinds of “dead” spoken of in the scriptures. For this study, we are going to refer to two at this point.

  1. Dead “in Christ” and living in Him
  2. Dead spiritually.

I said to him, “My lord , you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Rev 7:14

“And the nations were enraged, and Your wrath came, and the time came for the dead to be judged, and the time to reward Your bond-servants the prophets and the saints and those who fear Your name, the small and the great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.” Rev 11:18

And another angel came out of the temple, crying out with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, “Put in your sickle and reap, for the hour to reap has come, because the harvest of the earth is ripe.” Rev 14:15

4Behold, the pay of the laborers who mowed your fields (looking for fruit), and which has been withheld by you, cries out against you; and the outcry of those who did the harvesting has reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. 5You have lived luxuriously on the earth and led a life of wanton pleasure; you have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter (judgment). 6You have condemned and put to death the righteous man (the harvesters); he does not resist you. James 5:4-6

1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but prove the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3and every spirit that confesseth not Jesus is not of God: and this is the spirit of the antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it cometh; and now it is in the world already. 4Ye are of God, my little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you (the witness of the Spirit) than he that is in the world. 1Jn 4:1-4

The bible teaches us about two kinds of trees and two kinds of fruit coming from trees in our garden. The Spirit of God is the tree from which we eat, and it is the “Tree of Life”. The Spirit of the Antichrist has a tree also, in which many eat, and it is the  tree of the “Knowledge of Good, and Evil”. Those eating of it will surely die. Either way we must die, dying to the old nature, or dying spiritually.

And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment, 28so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him. Heb 9:28

and he said with a loud voice, “Fear God, and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come; worship Him who made the heaven and the earth and sea and springs of waters.” Rev 14:17

If you address as Father the One who impartially judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your stay on earth. 1Peter 1:17

19Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, 20by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; 24and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, 25not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near. Heb 10:19-25

8But what does it say? “THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, 9that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (be raised from the dead, in Christ); 10for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness (rightness acts), and with the mouth he confesses (the gospel of Jesus Christ), resulting in salvation. Rom 10:8-10

13By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit (His image and likeness). 14We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. 1Jn 4:13,14

Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. 1 Corinthians 6:11 (Must have all three to have the Witness.)

who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds. Titus 2:14

By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Hebrews 10:10

according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace be yours in the fullest measure. 1 Peter 1:2

Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water (washings) and the Spirit (sanctifying work of the Spirit) he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:5

He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, Titus 3:5

let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Hebrews 10:22

Baptism Of The Holy Spirit And Of Fire

Sanctification—The Washing Of The Water

Sanctification, like all promises in scripture, are spoken from God’s perspective, finished before the foundation of the world. He foresees his promise being fulfilled and it is accounted to us before it even happens. We are sanctified, being sanctified, and will be sanctified. An example of this is Abraham, his righteousness being spoken of many years before his faith was perfected, and he became righteous as a result of his walk of faith.

So also you, were sanctified by your faith, when you began your journey into God, the new creation life. But sanctification must be completed by faith, resulting in that final sanctification, once we have endured to the end. Failure to walk by faith and continually be sanctified, will cause our house to fall when the fiery trials come, falling away from the faith. Most of God’s people are falling away, due to lack of knowledge.

Your Redemption Is Drawing Near

“There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves,26men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27“Then they will see THE SON OF MAN COMING IN A CLOUD with power and great glory. 28“But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” Luke 21:25-28

Behold The Fig Tree

Then He told them a parable: “Behold the fig tree and all the trees;30as soon as they put forth leaves, you see it and know for yourselves that summer is now near. 31“So you also, when you see these things happening, recognize that the kingdom of God is near32“Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all things take place. 33Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.

34“Be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap35for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of all the earth36“But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:29-33

The Son Of God and The Son Of Man

The Son Of Man

The term, The Son of God, is clear to professing Christians so there is no need here to teach concerning that term. The Son of Man, however, is a term that has been elusive and hidden to me, to see the true meaning in the Spirit. Finally, it is opening now and being revealed. Jesus Christ is both the Son of God and the Son of Man, fulfilling both roles but one God Man. The Son of God, became the Son of Man, to purchase us with His blood, and take us back into the heavenlies with Him, a people abiding in God. The Son of Man is Jesus Christ, choosing to become flesh, choosing to become man, to overcome and lead us back to God.

The Son of God comes from the highest heavens, His place in God. The Son of Man comes from the lowest parts of the earth, and ascends into the highest heavens. The Son of God chooses to come down, the Son of Man chooses to endure the pain of birth, to be raised up as an example to us of how to be made perfect through suffering. The Son of God was perfect. The Son of Man was made perfect. The Son of God, was obedient, The Son of Man learned obedience through what He suffered. Our Lord descended as the Son of God, and ascended as the Son of Man. The Son of God was the fullness of God, the Son of Man was led by the Spirit and became the fullness of God again.

The Son of Man is a body, a sacrificial body, a sacrificial Lamb without blemish, to be slain, prepared by the Holy Spirit, for the Father. The body was gratefully accepted by the Father, the sacrifice He desired, before the foundation of the world. The Son of Man, is the head, of a many membered body, made perfect by His living Spirit in each one. This sacrificial body, His body, has ascended into the heavenlies of God, with a host of sons and daughters, because they were in Him, walking in His image. All this was accomplished before the foundation of the world and now is fulfilled, and is being fulfilled, in Christ.

But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honour, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.

10For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to perfect the author of their salvation through sufferings11For both He who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one Father; for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren,

12saying, “I WILL PROCLAIM YOUR NAME TO MY BRETHREN, IN THE MIDST OF THE CONGREGATION I WILL SING YOUR PRAISE.” 13And again, “I WILL PUT MY TRUST IN HIM.” And again, “BEHOLD, I AND THE CHILDREN WHOM GOD HAS GIVEN ME.”

14Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, 15and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives. 16For assuredly He does not give help to angels, but He gives help to the descendant of Abraham. 17Therefore, He had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. 18For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted. Heb 2:9-18

In the days of His flesh, He offered up both prayers and supplications with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His piety. 8Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered9And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation10being designated by God as a high priest according to the order of Melchizedek. Heb 5:7=10

until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God (who he really is), to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ14As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming (definition of spiritual children)15but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, 16from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies , according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love. Eph 4:12-16

Jesus said to keep and teach the commandments (Law) of God. Now how will we accomplish that and what will it look like if we do. It happens by obeying the gospel taught by Jesus.

Our tongue is a fire. Each day we offer sacrifices to the Lord in everything we do. We offer either His fire in our walk, or strange fire, to the Lord. Offerings of fire (heavenly treasures, fruit of the Spirit) are a soothing aroma (satisfying) to the Lord. Strange fire (deeds of the flesh, opposite of the fruit of the Spirit) is an abomination to Him. We become a living sacrifice by offering ourselves daily to the Lord when we encounter another human being (our neighbor). That is when we become doers of the word (gospel) rather than hearers who are deluded.

The Fear Of Death

But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone. Heb 2:9

Making Known The Name

John 17 1Jesus spoke these things; and lifting up His eyes to heaven, He said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, that the Son may glorify You,2even as You gave Him authority over all flesh, that to all whom You have given Him, He may give eternal life.3This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.4“I glorified You on the earth, having accomplished the work which You have given Me to do.5“Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.

“I have manifested Your name to the men whom You gave Me out of the world; they were Yours and You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.7“Now they have come to know that everything You have given Me is from You;8for the words which You gave Me I have given to them; and they received them and truly understood that I came forth from You, and they believed that You sent Me.9“I ask on their behalf; I do not ask on behalf of the world, but of those whom You have given Me; for they are Yours;10and all things that are Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine; and I have been glorified in them.11“I am no longer in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me, that they may be one even as We are.12“While I was with them, I was keeping them in Your name which You have given Me; and I guarded them and not one of them perished but the son of perdition, so that the Scripture would be fulfilled.

13“But now I come to You; and these things I speak in the world so that they may have My joy made full in themselves.14“I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.15“I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one.16“They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.17Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.18“As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.19“For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.

20“I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word;21that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.

22“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one;23I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.24“Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

25“O righteous Father, although the world has not known You, yet I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me;26and I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.” Jn 17

9“Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. Matt 24:9

3and I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as God Almighty, but by My name, LORD, I did not make Myself known to them.  Ex 6:3

Taking The Lord’s “Name” In Vain

20For they speak against You wickedly, And Your enemies take Your name in vain. Ps. 139:20

There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve Him; they will see His face (as in a mirror), and His name will be on their foreheads. Rev 22:3,4

Definition of VAIN, adjective [Latin vanus; Eng. wan, wane, want.]\\

  1. Empty; worthless; having no substance, value or importance.
  2. Fruitless; ineffectual. All attempts, all efforts were vain

Many assume that cussing or swearing with Jesus’ name is taking the Lord’s name in vain, and maybe in some way it is. However, the spiritual of this command is to take on His name and make a vow to the Lord, and not walk in it. That is liar, one that does not confess the name (the nature of his life) of Jesus Christ, after taking His name, and then refusing to walk in it. You shall not swear falsely by My name, so as to profane the name of your God; I am the LORD.  He said, “Why do you call me Lord and not do what I say.” That, to Jesus, is taking His name in vain.

“You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain. Ex 20:7

“Be on your guard before him and obey his voice; do not be rebellious toward him, for he will not pardon your transgression, since My name is in him. Ex 23:21

You Are God’s Light To The World

Jesus said we are the light of the world. John says if we walk in the light like he does, we will have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from our sin. 1Jn 1:7  The hidden truth is that to be cleansed, we must walk in the light. What does God’s light look like? The teachings of Jesus, the Gospel….

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people, that you may declare the wonderful deeds of Him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. 1 Pet 2:9

“Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. Matt 5:16

The night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness (fruit of the flesh) and put on the armor of light (fruit of the Spirit is our armour (breastplate of righteousness) for the war for our souls). Romans 13:12

5Come, house of Jacob, and let us walk in the light of the LORD. Is 2:5

“Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.“For behold, darkness will cover the earth And deep darkness the peoples; But the LORD will rise upon you And His glory will appear upon you.“Nations will come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising (raised from the dead). Is 60:1-3

35So Jesus said to them, “For a little while longer the Light is among you. Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you; he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes. 36“While you have the Light, believe in the Light, so that you may become sons of Light.” Jn 12:35,36

18But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, That shines brighter and brighter until the full day. Prov 4:18

9The one who says he is in the Light and yet hates his brother is in the darkness until now. 10The one who loves his brother abides in the Light and there is no cause for stumbling in him. 11But the one who hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going because the darkness has blinded his eyes. 1Jn 2:9,10

Noah Webster’s 1828 Dictionary

Definition of Hate:

In Scripture, hate signifies to love less than yourself.

Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we received mercy, we do not lose heart, 2but we have renounced the things hidden because of shame, not walking in craftiness or adulterating the word of God, but by the manifestation of truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. 3And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus’ sake. 6For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

7But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves; 8we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; 9persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; 10always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. 11For we who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 12So death works in us, but life in you. 13But having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written,

“I BELIEVED, THEREFORE I SPOKE,” we also believe, therefore we also speak, 14knowing that He who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and will present us with you.  2Cor 4:1-14

I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, resulting in further lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness, resulting in sanctification   For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.  Therefore what benefit were you then deriving from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the outcome of those things is death.  But now having been freed from sin and enslaved to God, you derive your benefit, resulting in sanctification, and the outcome, eternal life Romans 6:19-22.

For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God;  and that no man transgress and defraud his brother in the matter because the Lord is the avenger in all these things, just as we also told you before and solemnly warned you.  For God has not called us for the purpose of impurity, but in sanctification. So, he who rejects this is not rejecting man but the God who gives His Holy Spirit to you.  Now as to the love of the brethren, you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another; 1 Thessalonians 4:3-9

But I have received everything in full and have an abundance; I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you have sent, a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God. Phil 4:18

But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.  It was for this He called you through our gospel, that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14

Therefore, strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble, and make straight paths for your feet, so that the limb which is lame may not be put out of joint, but rather be healed. Pursue peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled; that there be no immoral or godless person like Esau, who sold his own birthright for a single meal. Hebrews 12:12-16

For the unbelieving husband is sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified through her believing husband; for otherwise your children are unclean, but now they are holy. Yet if the unbelieving one leaves, let him leave; the brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us to peace16For how do you know, O wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, O husband, whether you will save your wife?1Cor 7:14

Esau was recorded in a parable, as an example for anyone later that would choose to sell his birthright for fleshly indulgence when being refined and tested. Our freewill never passes away. We can always fall away if we chose to turn back to the world and the fleshly nature. And most do. Even the elect will fall away, if their days of testing are not shortened. It is all grace to endure to the end of the fire (testing) of God.

For the word of the Lord has sounded forth from you, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone forth, so that we have no need to say anything. 9For they themselves report about us what kind of a reception we had with you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God, 10and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, that is Jesus, who rescues us from the wrath to come. 1Thes 1:8-12

The Rich Struggle To Enter Eternal Life

According to Jesus, it is very hard for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God, eternal life. Actually, it is very hard to be born again, into the fullness of Christ, dying to the worries of the world, the deceitfulness of riches, the desire for other things. Because of the gospel, the commands of Jesus, those that are rich must turn loose of what is in their hearts. Jesus said, you can’t serve God and mammon, although the church today would argue that point with Him.

So, we come to the trials of the faith, the reapers that come to test if Jesus is Lord of the new convert, a rich man. When someone comes, the reapers are looking for fruit, and they take the first thing the rich man possesses, they will scream, and the flesh will be exposed. I have screamed many times, trying to walk in the gospel. Few rich will choose the gospel, the walk of Christ, and be purged of the riches in their heart.

It is painful, I know. I’ve been going through it for thirty plus years. You, the rich in this life, can enter in, if you want it bad enough. But it will be costly to the natural man when the reapers come with the fire. My prayer is you’ll want it bad enough to endure to the end. He is worth far more than all the riches of this world.

One more point concerning riches and the rich man. The easy thing would be to give it all up and it be over. That doesn’t work with the gospel. That would be “an act” and we would then pride ourselves in what “we had done”, our flesh again. The reapers are God’s tool to come with fire and purge it out of our hears. If we have anything of the riches left, that is up to God. The scriptures say to give alms to those in need, the corners of our field, the gleanings from our crops. The gospel is to be generous and ready to share, especially to those of the household of God. Amen.

As He was setting out on a journey, a man ran up to Him and knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” 18And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone (Jesus speaking as the Son of Man)19“You know the commandments, ‘DO NOT MURDER, DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, DO NOT STEAL, DO NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS, Do not defraud, HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER.’” 20And he said to Him, “Teacher, I have kept all these things from my youth up.” 21Looking at him, Jesus felt a love for him and said to him, “One thing you lack: go and sell all you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” 22But at these words he was saddened, and he went away grieving, for he was one who owned much property.

23And Jesus, looking around, said to His disciples, “How hard it will be for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God!” 24The disciples were amazed at His words. But Jesus answered again and said to them, “Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! 25“It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” 26They were even more astonished and said to Him, “Then who can be saved?” 27Looking at them, Jesus said, “With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.”

Peter began to say to Him, “Behold, we have left everything and followed You.” 29Jesus said, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel’s sake, 30but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life. 31“But many who are first will be last, and the last, first.”

A ruler questioned Him, saying, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” 19And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone. 20“You know the commandments, ‘DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, DO NOT MURDER, DO NOT STEAL, DO NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS, HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER.’” 21And he said, “All these things I have kept from myyouth.” 22When Jesus heard this, He said to him, “One thing you still lack; sell all that you possess and distribute it to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” 23But when he had heard these things, he became very sad, for he was extremely rich. 24And Jesus looked at him and said, “How hard it is for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God! 25“For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” 26They who heard it said, “Then who can be saved?” 27But He said, “The things that are impossible with people are possible with God.”

28Peter said, “Behold, we have left our own homes and followed You.”29And He said to them, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, 30who will not receive many times as much at this time and in the age to come, eternal life.” Lk 18:18-30

‘Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked,18I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see. Rev 3:17,18

And someone came to Him and said, “Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may obtain eternal life?” 17And He said to him, “Why are you asking Me about what is good? There is only One who is good; but if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments.” 18Then he said to Him, “Which ones?” And Jesus said, “YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT MURDER; YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY; YOU SHALL NOT STEAL; YOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS; 19HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER; and YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.” 20The young man said to Him, “All these things I have kept; what am I still lacking?” 21Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” 22But when the young man heard this statement, he went away grieving; for he was one who owned much property.

23And Jesus said to His disciples, “Truly I say to you, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven24“Again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” 25When the disciples heard this, they were very astonished and said, “Then who can be saved?” 26And looking at them Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matt 19:16-26

This Age And “The Age To Come”

“This age”, represents the time between when we were called, our testing and trials through fire, wind, rain, floods, to be changed into His image and likeness. It is our walk of faith, looking for a city, whose builder and maker is God. A land of promise, flowing with milk and honey. There is a falling away, showing us how deeply sinful we are, then we are suddenly changed, in a moment, the Lord suddenly comes to His Temple. In the twinkling of an eye His Spirit), an exertion of His Spirit in power, we suddenly and finally are transformed into His likeness, the image of Christ, the end of the age, into His Rest. No more tears there, no more wars, nor more famines, no more earthquakes. The testing is finally over for those He loves. After that, I have no knowledge, having not been revealed that part yet.

The Sheep And The Goats

“As for you, My sheep, the sheep of My pasture, you are men, and I am your God,” declares the Lord GOD. Ez 34:31

“As for you, My flock, thus says the Lord GOD, ‘Behold, I will judge between one sheep and another, between the rams and the male goats. 18‘Is it too slight a thing for you that you should feed in the good pasture, that you must tread down with your feet the rest of your pastures? Or that you should drink of the clear waters, that you must foul the rest with your feet? 19‘As for My flock, they must eat what you tread down with your feet and drink what you foul with your feet!’”

20Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD to them, “Behold, I, even I, will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep. 21“Because you push with side and with shoulder, and thrust at all the weak with your horns until you have scattered them abroad, 22therefore, I will deliver My flock, and they will no longer be a prey; and I will judge between one sheep and another.

Lay Up For Yourself Treasures

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth (in the earthy realm), where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20“But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; 21for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also (likewise, wherever you heart is, your treasure will be, for treasures are stored in the heart). Matt 6:19-21

“Sell your possessions and give to charity; make yourselves money belts which do not wear out, an unfailing treasure in heaven, where no thief comes near nor moth destroys. 34“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Luke 12:33,34

“Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for the tree is known by its fruit. 34“You brood of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak what is good? For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart35“The good man brings out of his good treasure what is good; and the evil man brings out of his evil treasure what is evil. 36“But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment. 37“For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” Matt 12:33-37

Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. 17For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, 18while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2Cor 4:16-15

Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life (give and it will be given unto you, eternal life). Prov 4:23

The acquisition of treasures by a lying tongue Is a fleeting vapor, the pursuit of death. Prov 21:6

Wash your heart from evil, O Jerusalem, That you may be saved. How long will your wicked thoughts Lodge within you? Jer 4:14

Bring The Tithes Into The Storehouse—Giving

When the children of Israel came out of Egypt, the world of being slaves, they plundered the Egyptians of much gold, silver, and many other things. So also we, when we come out of the world, bring many things with us.

God used the wealth of Egypt, through the generous giving of His people, to build the tabernacle and all that was within it, a shadow for us. So also, God will do that today, taking the wealth God plundered from the world, and built up the tabernacle, the body of Christ. The early church saw it and lived it out, giving as anyone had need. The true body of Christ will do that again as we come into the fullness of Christ.

Sheep are very vulnerable animals, being very innocent. Not only are they good for food, but they can also be sheered for their wool, and many are being sheered today, to fulfill the dreams of the shepherds. And the scripture is being used to manipulate them, and get it from them. The scripture clearly teaches that the workman, the one teaching spiritual things, is worthy of being supported by the ones receiving from them. This term support is the problem. If the shepherd becomes rich off the sheep, God will severely judge that shepherd for peddling the gospel, if they even teach it.

“Woe, shepherds of Israel who have been feeding themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flock3“You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool, you slaughter the fat sheep without feeding the flock4“Those who are sickly you have not strengthened, the diseased you have not healed, the broken you have not bound up, the scattered you have not brought back, nor have you sought for the lost; but with force and with severity you have dominated them5“They were scattered for lack of a shepherd, and they became food for every beast of the field and were scattered. 6“My flock wandered through all the mountains and on every high hill; My flock was scattered over all the surface of the earth, and there was no one to search or seek for them.”’”

7Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the LORD: 8“As I live,” declares the Lord GOD, “surely because My flock has become a prey (to the powers of darkness and the world), My flock has even become food for all the beasts of the field for lack of a shepherd, and My shepherds did not search for My flock, but rather the shepherds fed themselves and did not feed My flock9therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the LORD10‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will demand My sheep from them and make them cease from feeding sheep. So the shepherds will not feed themselves anymore, but I will deliver My flock from their mouth, so that they will not be food for them.”’”

11For thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out. 12“As a shepherd cares for his herd in the day when he is among his scattered sheep, so I will care for My sheep and will deliver them from all the places to which they were scattered on a cloudy and gloomy day. 13“I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries and bring them to their own land (the land of promise); and I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the streams, and in all the inhabited places of the land. 14“I will feed them in a good pasture, and their grazing ground will be on the mountain heights of Israel. There they will lie down on good grazing ground and feed in rich pasture on the mountains of Israel. 15“I will feed My flock and I will lead them to rest,” declares the Lord GOD. 16“I will seek the lost, bring back the scattered, bind up the broken and strengthen the sick; but the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed them with judgment. Ez 34:1-16
